THE SUPPORT TO THE MANIFESTO DOES NOT IMPLY ANY SUPPORT TO THE REST OF DECLARATIONS / PUBLICATIONS OF THE WEB, ONLY TO THE 5 POINTS INCLUDED IN THE SAME.
- All human life is personal life, and, therefore, possesses an intrinsic dignity and value, which makes it unavailable, in every situation and condition.
- Personal autonomy, limited in situations of illness or serious dependence, does not imply the right to suicide or the right to request the euthanasian act, which is a homicide, all of which are contrary to ethics, sanitary deontology and the legal system, which they should never be legally authorized.
There is the right to life, but not the right to death. The Law should promote a humanization of the death process, equally rejecting any form of therapeutic obstinacy and euthanasia, offering universal palliative care as integral, physical, psychological and spiritual attention of the person, in the end of life.
- Leaving to die, when it can no longer be cured, is not the same as killing a suffering human being, even if it is with the intention of eradicating their pain and suffering. The first is a lawful, ethical act. The second, the euthanasian act is seriously immoral and should never be legally authorized. Therefore, as full citizens, we request that the Proposed Organic Law of Regulation of Euthanasia be rejected by the Spanish Parliament.
- Life must be respected, as a natural, fundamental right, and death must be respected, as a process of life that every person has the right to receive consciously, limiting the pain and suffering. Therefore, as full citizens, we demand that the authorities comply with their moral and civic obligations and promote the standards that are necessary for the maximum development of palliative care by qualified professionals, investing the economic resources that are necessary for it.
